2 credits per request
TL;DR
Search Reddit posts site-wide by keyword — title, text, subreddit, author, upvotes, and comments, with cursor pagination. Flat 2 credits per call. The Reddit Search API (Reddit) is a single authenticated GET request to /v1/reddit/search that responds with clean JSON and costs 2 credits. Pass cache=true for a free 24h cache hit; default is always fresh. Start with 100 free credits — no credit card.

What is the Reddit Search API?

Pass a keyword or phrase and the Reddit Search API returns matching public posts from across Reddit as clean JSON — the same kind of site-wide search you'd run on reddit.com. Each result includes the post URL and id, title, body text when present, subreddit, author, upvotes, comment count, publish time, NSFW flag, flair, and thumbnail when available. Need more than the first page? Pass the nextCursor value from the previous response to keep paging, and use hasMore to know when you've reached the end. To search inside one community only, use Reddit Subreddit Search instead. Flat 2 credits per call. Pass cache=true to serve from the 24h shared cache (0 credits on hit); default is always fresh.

What you get

  • Public Reddit posts matching your keyword across all of Reddit
  • Title, body text, subreddit, author, and post URL
  • Upvotes, comment count, publish time, NSFW flag, and thumbnail
  • Cursor pagination (nextCursor + hasMore) through every page
