GET /v1/instagram/channel-reels

Instagram Channel Reels API

Get the latest Reels from any public Instagram profile — video URL, caption, views, likes, comments, and duration for each Reel, with cursor pagination for older ones.

~6 credits (0.3/result) per request
TL;DR
Get the latest Reels from any public Instagram profile — video URL, caption, views, likes, comments, and duration for each Reel, with cursor pagination for older ones. The Instagram Channel Reels API (Instagram) is a single authenticated GET request to /v1/instagram/channel-reels that responds with clean JSON and costs ~6 credits (0.3/result). Pass cache=true for a free 24h cache hit; default is always fresh. Start with 100 free credits — no credit card.

What is the Instagram Channel Reels API?

Send a profile URL or @handle and the Instagram Channel Reels API returns that account's most recent Reels as clean, structured JSON. Photo and carousel posts are filtered out — you only get videos, each with its direct video URL, caption, view / like / comment counts, duration, and publish date. Need more than the first page? Pass the nextCursor value from the previous response to keep paging through older Reels. No Instagram login, no OAuth, and no proxies or infrastructure to maintain on your side. Pass cache=true to serve from the 24h shared cache (0 credits on hit); default is always fresh.

What you get

  • Bulk list of channel reels with metadata
  • Dates, URLs, and engagement fields when available
  • Configurable result limit
  • Ideal for monitoring and content pipelines

Parameters

NameTypeRequiredDescription
urlstringYesInstagram profile URL, @handle, or username, e.g. https://instagram.com/username/. The URL platform must match this endpoint's platform. Do not pass cross-platform URLs, e.g. YouTube to TikTok, Instagram to Facebook, LinkedIn to X/Twitter, or Pinterest to Rumble.
limitintegerNoMax items to return (default 20, max 200). Billed per result.
cursorstringNoPagination cursor. Leave empty for the first page; then pass the nextCursor value returned in the previous response (e.g. 3937158245004702478_12281817). A null nextCursor means the end of the list.
cachebooleanNoSet true to serve from the 24h response cache. Default false — always fetch fresh data.

Authentication: send your key as Authorization: Bearer capt_live_.... A typical call costs ~6 credits (0.3/result) — billed per result, so the exact amount scales with how many items you request. Pass cache=true for a free 24h cache hit; default is always fresh (metrics refresh within ~1 hour).
